like my brother before me,

I was student government president of the FWParker school in Chicago.

(had to beat a good friend for it)

we raised some issues,

felt the principal unresponsive

moved on it with a walk out

drawaing dramatic attention

unfortately,

it was the same week as the
Beverly Hills 90210 student government walk-out episode

the principal addressed us

not hip enough to speak truth
but he made a good point

a busy man,

he had recieved the proposals

and expected some additional followup
(me)

but this?
not follow up.
drama.

from what I gather,
future folks felt energized

student action potential

we actually did something.

we definitely made noise. I don't recall that we changed much, but we felt strong and the climate was exciting.

perhaps the community needed to know that we had it in us.
